FaderWorks 1.4.1
About FaderWorks
An audio plug-in for multi-instance gain and latency management (PDC). It includes controls for solo and mute, grouping of connected instances etc. At its simplest, FaderWorks can be placed anywhere in the effect chain of an audio track. This allows you to specifically control the volume behind or before other audio plug-ins.
The main idea behind FaderWorks comes to life when 2 or more instances are opened. These instances can be connected logically to each other. Using FaderWorks in this way, it is possible to manage complex mix setups with just one volume fader.
In addition, FaderWorks provides a generic concept to handle plug-in delay compensation (PDC). It is an efficient, deterministic and sample accurate approach.
You can setup a database of plug-in names and latency values which is shared between all instances. Place one instance of FaderWorks on every track and switch the appropriate latency values off or on.
Whats New in this Version
- The new MIDI support for FaderWorks greatly enhances mix automation. With MIDI, there is access to all gain values and to all solo/mute/bypass switches - ideal for using external control surfaces.
- Furthermore, FaderWorks is now compatible with the fxpansion VST-RTAS wrapper. Visit the product page to read more about using the integrated plug-in delay compensation (PDC) system with ProTools.
- Changes to the settings of the PDC system are now in effect immediately. You no longer need to stop/start audio which makes PDC with FaderWorks much easier to use in hosts with a continuous audio stream like ProTools.
