About DarkAdapted
A screen color / gamma control application program. It modifies your screen gamma settings so that you may, for example, preserve your dark adaptation while using your computer.

DarkAdapted is being used by astronomers, planetarium operators, graphics professionals, medical professionals, airline pilots, air traffic controllers, and others worldwide to provide flexible, dynamic control over their monitor’s gamma (screen color response). Users may define an unlimited number of gamma presets, and invoke them via global hotkeys, by menu selection, or by typing the first few letters of a preset’s name.

- Customizable gamma presets. Use predefined settings, create your own, and manipulate your presets with ease. For example, use the “Dark Red” setting to preserve your dark adaptation. Or create a preset to deal with monitor characteristics or viewing conditions.
- High-resolution sliders allow you to adjust red, green, and blue video components individually and in real time.
- Small screen mode hides advanced controls, minimizing the use of valuable screen real estate. The Main Window may also be hidden entirely.
- Select a preset by typing the first few letters of its name.
- Select a preset, or control most of DarkAdapted’s interface, using system-wide hotkeys. Easily assign your own hotkeys.
- Export and import gamma presets to and from disk files. Many sample presets files are included with the download.
- Full AppleScript support (on Mac OS), including a sample AppleScript with the Mac OS download. Includes AppleScript scheduling.

What’s New in this Version
- Pro Feature: Scheduling Window: Added the option to schedule AppleScript execution in addition to gamma fades.
- Edit Event window’s Time of Day control now allows direct numeric entry from the keyboard, in addition to changing the time’s value using the up/down arrows control.
- Events may now be drag-reordered, which can affect the order in which multiple events execute, if they are scheduled for the same exact time. Drag-reordering also clears the sort column highlight.
- DarkAdapted Pro now looks for AppleScripts in /Library/Scripts/DarkAdapted Pro Scripts/ folder in addition to the AppleScripts folder alongside DarkAdapted Pro.
- Edit menu’s Edit Presets and Edit Preset Sets now function without a Control Window open.
- Many additional enhancements.
