Login Launcher 05

About Login Launcher
Did you ever regret you didn’t press ‘shift’ while login in? Do you have lots of startup items and once in a while you wished a faster login? Would you like to sort the launch of your startup items?

Then you may find Login Launcher useful: Login Launcher is a simple AppleScript that detects if your computer is connected to the internet and if it is running from battery or wall power. Based on these criteria it will launch pre-selected applications.

What’s New in this Version
- Airport criterion: Online Applications can now be split in ‘Airport items’: In the presence of a valid internet connection the script tries to guess which interface is being used. If Airport is the ONLY interface connected, ‘Online items’ are substituted by a predefined set of ‘Airport Applications’. Note that detection of Airport connectivity is somehow fragile and may fail if airport is not configured as interface en1 or if connected to a local network without internet access.
- Applications to be added are now alphabetically sorted
- Assigns the right App name to non-pure Cocoa Applications (e.g., Firefox is firefox-bin for System Events)
- Launch is now done through shell commands: Meaning up to 3x faster!
- Detection of system version
- Simplified prompts (slightly, though)
- System processes won’t appear as running Applications;
- Clarified (hopefully) explanations and fixed typos in dialogs;
- All dialogs will prompt as frontmost windows;
