Samba 3.0.30
About Samba
An open source/free software suite that provides seamless file and print services to SMB/CIFS clients. Samba is freely available under the GNU General Public License.
Samba consists of two key programs: smbd and nmbd. They implement the four basic modern-day CIFS services, which are:
- File and print services
- Authentication and authorization
- Name resolution
- Service announcement (browsing)
Whats New in this Version
- Fixed: Specifically crafted SMB responses can result
in a heap overflow in the Samba client code.
Because the server process, smbd, can itself
act as a client during operations such as
printer notification and domain authentication,
this issue affects both Samba client and server
installations.

- Mac OS X 10.1 or later
