Keynote in Education
Create professional-looking presentations with ease
Keynote, part of the iWork 08 productivity suite, has everything students and teachers need to create effective and well-designed presentations from animated slides explaining the solution to a math problem, to a kiosk for a school open house. With Keynote, students find that its not only easy to show what theyve learned, but a lot of fun as well.
Keynote provides a collection of professionally designed themes, each with a selection of coordinated text, tables, and charts. Students pick a theme and the presentation opens with a title slide ready to go, saving valuable class time.
Communicate with text, images, and sound
Adding content to Keynote is a breeze. Students can insert music, photos, and movies by dragging them from the Media Browser they can even adjust movies and photos right in Keynote. Projects can easily be customized with tables and 2D and 3D charts. And recorded voiceover narration can be added and played back in sync with the slides ideal for school events.
Keynote presentations can include hyperlinks as well as cinema-quality animated transitions, text effects, and action builds. And to support group projects, students can readily collaborate on their documents using Comments onscreen sticky notes visible only during production.
Time to add the audience
When students are ready to present, they can use the Presenter Display to view a clock, timer, and notes theyve added to each slide. At the same time, the audience only sees the full-screen slides, allowing students to keep track of their presentations with confidence. Keynote presentations can also be self-running perfect for events such as a science fair.
Keynote imports PowerPoint and AppleWorks presentations, and presentations can be shared in many ways, including as a PowerPoint presentation, PDF, QuickTime file, and more. Or presentations can be sent to iTunes or iPod an easy way for students to view them on the go.
