Now accepting procurement card payments online
All Apple Online Education Custom Stores for institutions now accept online payment in the form of Procurement Cards (PCards). A PCard is issued by a credit card company and administered through your institution’s purchasing department. The PCard holder then uses institutional funds to pay for business-related purchases (up to the preauthorized limit). Previously, customers wishing to purchase with PCards had to first apply to become an Apple Authorized Purchaser. Now anyone at your institution who has been issued a PCard can quickly make purchases directly online from their Custom Store. We’re excited to offer this new way to make purchasing Apple technology even easier. To ensure your PCard holders can take advantage of this new online ordering you must have a Custom Store. To request a Custom Store your school must already have an account with Apple. You will be asked to provide your Apple account number during signup.
