Included with the Mac OS X operating system, the Energy Saver feature is accessed in System Preferences. It enables you to configure sleep mode parameters, schedule system shutdown and startup, and specify wake options to minimize the computer’s energy consumption. Since all Mac computers are shipped with Energy Saver enabled, Apple saves you money right out of the box.
