An Apple Certified Pro has demonstrated their operational knowledge of one of Apple’s Pro Applications. Users of Aperture, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, Soundtrack Pro and Logic Pro may obtain Certified Pro status by passing the corresponding exams for their chosen application. Some applications offer two levels of certification. Level 1 attests to the basic operational knowledge of the application. Level 2 attests to knowledge of more advanced features and a deeper understanding of the application. All users must demonstrate the requisite knowledge of the application to achieve their status.

Apple also offers Final Cut Studio (FCS) Master Certification to recognize an individual’s skills with the entire Final Cut Studio product suite. Since workflow is such a significant component of Final Cut Studio, users need certification in at least three of the applications to earn Master Certification.
