iTunes can play your favorite CDs, but you can also import your songs into your iTunes Library. Once imported, you'll be able to arrange your songs into playlists, share them with your other computers using iTunes, or take them with you on your iPod.
iTunes is a free download for both Mac and Windows.
If you have MP3, AAC, or unprotected WMA files on your computer or backed up on a CD, you can easily add them to your iTunes Library at any time. Simply go to the File menu, choose Add to Library, find the files you want to add, and then click the Choose button. The files you choose will be added to your library, and if any files are unprotected WMA files, they will automatically be converted to AAC files. On a Windows computer, you can add an entire folder of files: choose File > Add Folder to Library.
Before you download iTunes, youll have the opportunity to subscribe to New Music Tuesdays, a weekly newsletter which keeps you filled in on the latest additions to the iTunes Music Store. This is a great way to find new songs that you havent heard before and stay in the know.
Before you install iTunes, youll just need to meet the minimum requirements. Check the iTunes download page for detailed information. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
By default, iTunes keeps all of your files organized and stored in your iTunes folder. On a Windows computer, the iTunes folder is located in your "My Music" folder. On a Mac, the iTunes folder is located in your "Music" folder.
