What is the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at Starbucks?

  • At participating Starbucks locations, you get free Wi-Fi access to browse, search, and preview millions of songs that can then be easily bought and downloaded directly to your iPod touch, iPhone, Mac or PC.  The iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store also includes a "Now Playing" feature which displays the name of the downloadable song playing in the Starbucks store at that moment.

How do I connect to the free Wi-Fi service from my portable computer?

  • Follow these instructions to connect to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at Starbucks.

I don't see the Starbucks button on my iPhone or iPod touch.

  • First, make sure you are in a participating Starbucks location. Next, be sure that your iPhone or iPod touch software is up to date and has recently synced with iTunes.
  • Then, tap the iTunes button. A Starbucks button will appear in the navigation at the bottom of the the device.
  • You can now browse, buy, and download music, including songs that are "Now Playing" at your participating Starbucks location.

I purchased an album on my iPhone (or iPod touch) that contained a music video and a digital booklet. Where did it go?

  • Bonus items such as music videos and digital booklets are available for download when you log in to the iTunes Store on your computer. You can then sync your bonus content from your computer to your device.

How do I manage my iPhone (iPod touch) downloads?

  • Every song you buy on your iPhone or iPod touch at Starbucks syncs back to your Mac or PC the next time you connect.
  • If you’ve only partially downloaded a song on your iPhone or iPod touch, you can resume the download by reconnecting to a Wi-Fi network.  Otherwise, your computer will complete the download automatically.
